Degree Options
Equine Science and Management
Students interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Equine Science and Management should apply directly to the University of Connecticut through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. When completing the Common Application, select Equine Science and Management as your intended major.
Animal Science
The application process for both the BS and AAS in Animal Science are managed through UConn Undergraduate Admissions.
Bachelor of Science
Students interested in pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Animal Science should apply directly to the University of Connecticut through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. When completing the Common Application, select Animal Science as your intended major within the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources. Admission decisions are based on UConn’s standard undergraduate requirements, and students are encouraged to review program details and connect with academic advisors for guidance on course planning once admitted.
Associate of Applied Science
Students interested in earning a two-year associate degree in Animal Science through the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture should apply through UConn’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions by selecting the Ratcliffe Hicks option. This program offers a focused, hands-on curriculum designed to prepare students for careers or continued study in agriculture and animal science. Ratcliffe Hicks students are also encouraged to work with advisors in the CAHNR Office of Academic Programs to plan their academic path and explore transfer opportunities into bachelor’s degree programs.
