Genetics, Genomics, and Breeding

Animal genetics, genomics, and breeding research focuses on understanding the genetic makeup of animals to predict performance, improve economically important traits, and guide selection decisions. Using genomic and statistical tools, faculty work across multiple species to enhance health, productivity, and resilience to challenges such as disease and environmental stress.
