  • M.S., Animal Science, University of Connecticut, 2002
  • B.S., Animal Science, University of Connecticut, 1998

Research

Dr. Govoni’s research focuses on understanding growth and development at the cellular level to identify methods to improve animal health and efficiency of production. Her laboratory uses a sheep model to determine the effects of poor maternal nutrition on pre- and post-natal development with an emphasis on impacts on liver development, metabolism, and epigenetic regulation.
