What We Study
Research in growth biology and endocrinology includes topics such as muscle growth and development, metabolic regulation, maternal nutrition, skeletal development, adipose tissue biology, oxidative stress, inflammation, endocrine signaling, and gene expression. Faculty study how nutrition and physiological conditions influence growth and development at the cellular, tissue, and whole-animal levels, with an emphasis on improving animal health, production efficiency, and long-term performance.
