What We Study
Research in animal nutrition includes topics such as diet formulation, nutrient efficiency, metabolic regulation, growth and development, maternal nutrition, feed additives, greenhouse gas mitigation, and environmental sustainability in livestock systems. Faculty study how nutrition impacts animal health, performance, muscle development, metabolism, stress responses, and production efficiency across a variety of species and production systems. Research also explores strategies to improve productivity while reducing environmental impacts through more efficient use of nutrients and resources.
